One of the twin infants in Clay County police said was severely injured at the hands of her father, is doing much better.
The 7-week-old had been unresponsive since Tuesday, but Thursday morning, she started responding, started eating and was moved out of the intensive care unit. Her twin sister remains in the ICU and is also responsive.
The twins both had several broken bones and bleeding on their brains, which doctors said the result of severe shaken baby syndrome.
Police said their father, Richard Osborne, 29, squeezed the babies on multiple occasions to get them to stop crying.
