The citizens of Kanawha County disposed of more than 130 pounds of unused medications over the weekend as part of the 2013 National Drug TakeBack initiative.
During the four-hour drop-off, residents of the county were able to drop off unused medications to all five Kanawha County sheriff's detachments, Capt. Sean Crosier said.
Crosier said the department is working toward a permanent drop-off location at the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.
