A Marshall University sorority is "puzzling" some homeowners around Huntington, but it's all for a good cause.
Alpha Xi Delta teamed up with Autism Speaks to raise money and awareness for autism. This year, they made these puzzle pieces that you can "rent" for the night to stick in someone's yard.
They'll stay there for about 24 hours, and the girls will talk to the homeowners to explain what the pieces stand for. They said it's really helping them reach more people in the community.
"This year we just wanted to do something different," Paige Doddrill, Alpha Xi Delta philanthropy chair at Marshall, said. "Something that got awareness out to the whole community, instead of just the Marshall community, so we've been putting these puzzle pieces everywhere."
If you want to "puzzle" a friend or neighbor, Doddrill said they plan to extend the fundraiser through next week. You can call her at 304-412-2773.
The cost to is $20 for 25 pieces, $45 for 50, $70 for 75, or $95 for 100 pieces. The money raised goes to Autism Speaks.
