Halloween is just around the corner, but the festivities have already started on Charleston's East End.
The horror-themed art show “Artmares” opened Wednesday at Contemporary Galleries on Smith Street.
It featured more than 40 local artists.
Other events on tap include the East End Main Street Murder Mystery Party, set for Thursday night at the Charleston Women's Club.
Then, on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., the big Zombie Walk is planned. And, for the first time ever, a Zombie 5-K race will start at 7 p.m. Saturday at Laidley Field, complete with zombie attack zones for the runners. And, after that, it's the HallowEast Costume Pub Crawl.
