Prestonsburg , Floyd County , Kentucky
State Police in eastern Kentucky are investigating a possible homicide in Floyd County.
Police aren't releasing much information, and are only calling it a homicide investigation.
Until the person responsible is caught, one community is in fear.
What neighbors saw on Tuesday is far from normal on Hibiscus Drive in Prestonsburg.
Police were called to a building after a complaint. There, inside the second floor apartment, they said they found Timothy Austin, 52, dead.
Police are not saying how and when they think Austin died and do not know who is responsible.
Neighbors were concerned.
One woman, who did not want to be identified, said she was shocked.
“I just thought someone maybe had a heart attack,” she said. “When I saw the ambulance - we've never had anything like this here."
While this death is suspicious, detectives are not saying whether it was intentional or an accident.
Police have reportedly told the people to keep their doors locked and have a heightened sense of their surroundings.
Troopers are investigating a homicide after the body of a man was found inside his home in Floyd County.
Timothy Austin, 52, of Prestonsburg was found dead inside his home on Tuesday. Kentucky State Police are investigating his death as a homicide.
Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 800-222-5555.
