Fayette County deputies said they are investigating a home invasion in which two men attacked a resident and beat him with wooden clubs.
Deputies said the Fayette County 911 Center received a report Saturday during the late evening hours that a vehicle had been stolen from a home on Deep Water Mountain Road in the North Page area, according to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with Donald Walker, who had been attacked by two white males and a white female, the release said. The female, who knows Walker, came to his residence and asked to speak with him privately. Two white males then forced their way into the home and began beating Walker with wooden clubs and demanding money, deputies said.
After finding a small amount of money, the three suspects fled from the area. Deputies said the female stole Walker’s truck, a Chevrolet Colorado, and the two males fled in a silver Dodge Neon.
Walker was transported to Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, where he received medical treatment for several lacerations to his head, and was released.
Deputies said they have identified the three suspects and anticipate obtaining warrants this week.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 304-574-4216.
