Two local high school are coming together to help a school and family through a tough time.
George Washington and Hurricane high schools will be collecting donations at their Friday night football game in honor of Dylan Jefferies.
Jefferies played football for South Harrison High School. During a late-September game against Lincoln County, Jefferies collapsed. He was taken to the hospital and died nine days later.
This loss comes a year after George Washington High School's football team lost one of its own to a car accident.
Funeral services for Jefferies are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 12, at the South Harrison football field.
