Interstate 64 westbound lanes between the Hurricane rest area and Scott Depot at the interchange with U.S. 35 were reopened Thursday after multiple wrecks, Putnam 911 said.
The lanes were closed down about 12:35 p.m. after the initial wreck and a couple of other wrecks happened along the two-mile stretch, dispatchers said. The westbound lanes were reopened about 12:20 p.m.
Interstate 64 westbound lanes between the Hurricane rest area and Scott Depot at the interchange with U.S. 35 were shut down Thursday after multiple wrecks, Putnam 911 said.
An emergency dispatcher said there were several accidents along the two-mile stretch with the initial wreck occurring about 12:35 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The dispatcher advised motorists to avoid the area while the wrecks are being cleared up.
