Brooklyn, New York , Ohio
The man accused of shooting up an apartment complex in Huntington has been arrested.
The news came as a huge sigh of relief for the people living there
A bullet hole in Alesha Jeffers front door is now a constant reminder of the shooting.
"Every time I see it, I just shake my head," she said.
Six people were shot outside her apartment here in Northcott Court last week.
Two bullets went inside Jeffers' home.
“It happened over here,” she said. “I felt the wind of the bullet."
More than a week later, police finally have their suspect in custody.
An FBI swat team picked up Antonio Smith in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Thursday.
The news had people in Northcott breathing a little easier.
Smith is charged with six counts of malicious wounding and one count of wanton endangerment.
He is also charged for being a felon with a firearm and dealing heroin.
Following the shooting, dozens of people, including some of the victims, took cover inside this nearby gas station.
Friday, people at the complex were a little more relaxed....
"I'm starting to feel safe," Jeffers said.
But she said she'll never forget, and has a very permanent reminder.
Smith will be extradited back to Huntington.
