A police pursuit in Jackson County, Ohio, ended when the suspect crashed.
The Oak Hill Police Department responded to a pharmacy in the 400 block of North Front Street around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. Police said store employees were in an altercation with a suspect. Police said when they arrived, they saw the suspect attempting to leave the parking lot, leading them on a chase. Police said that during the pursuit, the suspect dumped a portable meth lab that was active and a shotgun from the vehicle.
The suspect ended up driving off of the roadway near Phillip Kuhn Road and the vehicle was damaged, police said. Officers said the suspect fled from the vehicle, but they were able to identify the suspect.
The case will be presented to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office for charges. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department dismantled the meth lab. The Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted.
