Charleston kicked off the first day of enrollment for the Affordable Care Act.
West Virginians for Affordable Health Care held a press conference at the Capitol.
Members of the organization were on hand to speak about the new programs and their enrollment processes.
“It is a new day,” Perry Bryany, the group’s executive director, said. “It is a new era, and one in which we are going to make a significant step toward providing quality affordable health care to everyone in West Virginia. I am proud to be part of that effort.”
For the past several months, the group has helped train more than 850 people across the state to assist and educate West Virginians about the Affordable Care Act and its enrollment process.
