An ex-Lincoln County commissioner, in prison for election fraud, is now requesting a lighter sentence.
Thomas Ramey was sentenced to nearly two years in prison in November 2012.
He was a commissioner when he lied to an FBI agent about his handling of fraudulent absentee ballots.
Ramey said he was not satisfied with how his attorney represented him.
He filed his case in U.S. district court on Sept, 25.
