St. Albans lifted its boil water advisory Tuesday morning, sanitary board officials said.
Residents had remained under a precautionary boil water advisory after a computer malfunction over the weekend, Mayor Dick Callaway said.
The St. Albans Water Treatment Plant issued the advisory about 9 a.m. Saturday.
Water samples were sent to the West Virginia State Health Department for testing. Callaway had expected the results to be back Tuesday.
