Fruth Pharmacy and Cabell County schools have kicked off a new program that will provide free multivitamins to students for one year.
Fruth's Free Vitamins for Kids program first launched in 2012 in Vinton County, Ohio. The pharmacy saw great success with the program and wanted to extend the offer to Cabell County schools. Cabell County schools were eager to join and made the announcement on Wednesday.
A letter including the benefits of vitamins will be presented to parents along with a wallet-sized card. To receive the vitamins, parents can take the card to a Fruth Pharmacy counter. Children will be eligible for vitamins for one year. More than 6,000 cards will be distributed in Cabell County schools.
