There has been a delay in the drunken driving case of a high-ranking member of the West Virginia Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
Frank Paul Kennedy, 56, who is the state training officer for Homeland Security, is accused of two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence causing injury.
Kennedy allegedly crashed his vehicle into another vehicle Aug. 3, sending two women to the hospital.
The criminal complaint said he admitted to having two or three drinks before the accident.
His blood alcohol content measured .24, three times the legal limit.
On Monday, Dunbar Municipal Court Judge Brian Lanham granted a continuance in the case, something the alleged victims of the crash aren't happy about.
Kennedy's lawyer declined to have his client talk with Eyewitness News, although he said there is a possibility Kennedy will make a statement at some point.
