A tractor trailer fire caused a major slowdown Friday on Interstate 64 near South Charleston.
The vehicle burst into flames off the eastbound lanes at about 2 p.m. near the MacCorkle Avenue exit.
While Eyewitness News crews were on scene, there were several explosions as flames engulfed that truck.
All eastbound lanes were closed for about an hour, until, finally, one was opened back up to let traffic through, and even then it was slow going.
No one was reported injured and all lanes have since re-opened.
Two eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 have reopened, following a tractor trailer fire.
The fast and middle lanes of the highway have been re-opened, according to Kanawha Metro 911 dispatchers. The slow lane remains closed.
The fire occurred just east of the MacCorkle Avenue entrance ramp.
One eastbound lane of Interstate 64 at the MacCorkle Avenue exit in South Charleston was reopened following a tractor-trailer fire, Metro 911 said.
The wreck occurred about 1:50 p.m. Friday and initially shut down all eastbound lanes, dispatchers said.
The fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported.

The fire had been put out following the 1:50 p.m. accident, but the lanes were shut down as emergency crews cleaned up the wreck, an emergency dispatcher said.
No injuries were reported.
