Matthew Blanton, 33, and Bradley Childers, 34, both of Pikeville, were charged with trafficking a controlled substance. Blanton is a dispatcher for the sheriff's department and also a sworn deputy, according to a news release from Operation UNITE. Blanton has been placed on leave of absence without pay and suspended of all duties with the Pike's County Sheriff's Office until the completion of the investigation.
