Pratt , Kanawha County , West Virginia
The mayor of Pratt has officially been charged.
Gary Fields faces a misdemeanor drug possession charge after West Virginia State Police pulled him over last month after swerving off the road on Paint Creek Road.
According to court documents, police found fields with prescription pills that he could not produce an actual prescription for. Police said Fields admitted to taking four roxicodone pills from a friend. The mayor will answer to the charge in court next month.
Members of the Pratt town council took back the city-issued car from fields at a meeting last week.
