Williamson, Mingo Countty , West Virginia
Mingo County Prosecutor Michael Sparks was again the subject of a heated debate at a Mingo County Commission meeting.
Sparks was criticized at the last meeting for being too slow to act against conduct that led to federal charges against Circuit Judge Michael Thornsbury. Several residents showed up at the commission meeting Tuesday to criticize Sparks again.
Sparks said he will defend his actions in detail when he is no longer a federal witness. Thornsbury is accused of using his office to prosecute a romantic rival. This time, Sparks' supporters showed up to defend him.
