A woman was taken into custody after police said she was involved in the theft of a car from St. Albans.
Tiffany Grayley, 22, was arrested Monday morning following a brief pursuit. A second suspect is still on the run.
Kanawha County 911 dispatchers said police spotted the stolen car Monday morning in South Charleston and tried to stop it but the driver took off. The car eventually came to a stop near the intersection of South Street and Monroe Street and that is when a woman and a man got out and ran away.
Grayley was arrested a short time later, and police believe she was the driver of the stolen car. She is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and fleeing with reckless indifference.
Police have called off the search for the second suspect at this time.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, South Charleston Police Department and Charleston Police Departments all responded to the scene.
