Friends and family were saying goodbye Friday to a firefighter killed during an ATV charity ride last weekend.
The funeral for Eleanor Fire Chief Shane Jividen was taking place Friday morning at the West Virginia Joint forces reserve center in Eleanor. Burial will follow at Buffalo Memorial Cemetery.
Jividen died from injuries he received in a four-wheeling accident near Webster Springs on Aug. 31. He died Sept. 1.
Even after his death, the chief continues to help those in need. The 36-year-old was an organ donor. His donation could save the lives of up to eight people and help many others.
Jividen’s visitation was Thursday at the West Virginia Joint Forces Reserve Center in Eleanor. A fireman's funeral was being conducted Friday morning, with the burial set for Buffalo Memorial Cemetery.
