West Virginia State Police said Friday they now have nine people in custody stemming from a drug raid in Boone County.
Troopers said they were en route to arrest a 10th suspect.
The raid occurred about 6:30 a.m., and troopers said they found multiple drugs after making an undercover drug buy.
West Virginia State Police conducted a drug raid Friday morning in Boone County that resulted in six arrests and more suspects were being sought.
State Police Sgt. Charles Sutphin said an undercover drug buy was made in the county about 6:30 a.m. A raid was then conducted and heroin, an active methamphetamine lab and a number of prescription drugs were found. Authorities said an active meth lab was discovered inside a Boone County home where two people were living, and those residents were arrested. Meth product also was hanging from the ceiling in a Boone County residence.
The suspects were arrested at multiple locations throughout West Virginia, State Police said. Four more suspects also were being sought as part of an investigation that has been under way for several months.
Some of the suspects were being arraigned in Boone County Magistrate Court. A criminal complaint alleges some of the suspects delivered marijuana, hydrocodone or methamphetamine.
