It's a big day for the West Virginia Power.
The Charleston baseball team has clinched a spot in the South Atlantic League's postseason and the first game is scheduled to get under way at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.
This is the third time in franchise history that the Power has made the playoffs and the first since becoming a Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate in 2009.
On Wednesday, game one of the Northern Division Championship Series will begin against the Hagerstown Suns at Appalachian Power Park. It's a best of three series. Game two will be played in Hagerstown on Friday. If need be, game three will be played in Hagerstown on Saturday.
If the Power win the Northern Division Championship Series, the team will face the Southern Division winner in a best of five series. That will kick off at Appalachian Power Park and game one would be on Monday, Sept. 9.
Tickets for Wednesday night's game are free. You can get one at the Power Box Office or by calling 304-340-BATS. You must have a ticket to get into the game. The first 1,500 fans through the gate will get a free T-shirt.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the game starts at 7:05 p.m.
