Ashland , Boyd County , Kentucky
Severe weather ripped through the region Wednesday evening, leaving a trail of destruction in its path.
They city of Ashland, Kentucky was hit the hardest.
The roof of a building at the Castle Apartments along Winchester Avenue was blown off when the storm passed through.
Also in Ashland, the storm blew the awning off the drive through at the BP gas station on Greenup Avenue.
No injuries were reported in the aftermath of the storm, but crews worked much of the night to clean up the ruined remains.
The Red Cross was also called in to assist residents who were displaced.
Meanwhile, slick roads from Wednesday's storms were blamed for a car accident in Cabell County.
The crash happened along Hughes Brand Road. Cabell County deputies said the van was heading westbound when the driver apparently lost control and went over the hill. The driver was the only person inside the vehicle and was not injured.
