Charleston , Kanawha County , West Virginia
Troopers, deputies and Natural Resources police officers were out eradicating marijuana in Kanawha County Monday.
It was all part of the annual pot eradication effort.
Possession of marijuana in any amount is a misdemeanor in West Virginia.
If you're caught with it, you can be jailed and fined.
On Monday, officers were concentrating their efforts in Pinch, Elkview and in Sissonville.
Troopers said aid from the air helps them find the plants.
The eradication effort continues throughout the month.
