A new license plate was unveiled at the state capitol Wednesday.
In honor of the Contractors Association of West Virginia, a 'Hard at Work' license plate has been made.
The association employs about 20,000 people, and they help maintain the infrastructure across the state. Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin said it is a good way to remind ourselves of the hard work the men and women put in to make all our lives a little easier.
“I think when you're driving down the road, and you see this bright yellow license plate...you're going to think, ‘I wonder who builds these roads?’" Tomblin said. "Well, it's these guys with the hardhats we see out on these roads."
The DMV in Kanawha City has the new plates available.
