Back to school safety was the theme at the Huntington Mall in Barboursville Saturday.
Cabell Huntington Hospital organized a Back to-School Safety Expo.
Parents and children were educated on proper vaccinations, and there was a distracted driving simulator for people of all ages.
Organizers said it is important to make the public aware
"Every year, it’s important for us to make sure the kids are healthy and get checkups to make sure that they stay healthy and are prepared,” Dr. James Bailes, of Cabell Huntington, said.
