No one successfully matched all the numbers to win Saturday’s Powerball drawing, which had an estimated $350 million jackpot.
The jackpot is now up to $400 million.
Stores who sell lottery tickets said their businesses are benefiting, and not just from record ticket sales.
The next Powerball drawing is set for Wednesday night.
There is rich, and then there is very rich.
With the Powerball jackpot for the next drawing now estimated at $300 million, the lucky winner will definitely be in the latter category.
West Virginia Lottery officials said Friday that strong ticket sales across the nation have considerably bumped up the jackpot for Saturday night’s drawing.
The current estimated Powerball jackpot annuity amount now stands at $300 million with a $172.7 million cash option, according to a news release from the lottery.
Saturday night’s drawing will be at 10:59 p.m.
