More than a dozen West Virginia lawmakers are headed to North Dakota to learn about the state's natural gas tax fund.
Members of the West Virginia Legislature will spend three days meeting with energy officials.
They hope to learn more about a permanent natural gas severance tax fund, something that could help the state cash in on rising natural gas production.
Money collected from such a tax could help with infrastructure improvements, tax relief, or other investments.
