A state park in eastern Kentucky is featuring a new attraction for water lovers: scuba diving.
The Independent reported the 10-acre Scuba Refuge at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park opened this month to the public after a year of planning and months of preparation.
Park officials say they hope the attraction will bring more visitors to the area and boost the local economy.
Divers must be certified or have an instructor to use the area. They must register before diving and pay a $12 fee.
The refuge is about 25 feet deep and will be open from April through October.
