A historic building that helped to start careers for thousands of nurses is being demolished in Huntington.
The demolition of the St. Mary's School of Nursing building on the center's campus began Wednesday. The school was in use from 1947 until 2009 when classes were relocated to the Center for Education on Fifth Avenue in Huntington.
The demolition is part of the medical center's beautification project.
