Cross Lanes-Institute , Kanawha County , West Virginia
A driver escaped his burning Toyota Camry Thursday on Interstate 64 in Kanawha County.
The fire was reported about 8 a.m. along I-64 eastbound between Cross Lanes and Institute.
The driver said the vehicle began to smoke and burn. Firefighters arrived and put out the fire, but they had problems getting the hood of the car open.
Two lanes were blocked while firefighters contained that fire. It's not clear what caused the fire.
