The Huntington Police Department welcomed three new probationary police officers during a swearing-in ceremony.
Officers Brandon Heighton of Franklin Furnace, Daniel Mulvaney of Ashland and Benjamin Butler of Kenova were sworn in at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Huntington City Hall.
Heighton will start the 16-week training at the Police Academy in August.
"It's exciting. I'm looking forward to a career that I can retired in 25 to 30 years and look back and be proud of," Heighton said.
Mulvaney and Butler had previous experience as police officers at other departments.
