Corridor G , Kanawha County , West Virginia
A portion of US 119 reopened nearly two hours after fallen power lines forced Department of Transportation crews to close it.
A tractor-trailer traveling through the area snagged a low hanging line along Corridor G and Sand Plant Road, dispatchers said. It happened about 10:15 a.m.
US 119 was closed both directions at Sand Plant Road about 10:25 a.m., according to a tweet from the West Virginia Department of Transportation. Dispatchers said traffic was being diverted at Midway Road and Childress Road onto 214 beginning by about 11 a.m.
The roadway reopened about 12 p.m.
