Lawmakers are tossing around the idea of making the pepperoni roll the official state food of West Virginia.
The pizza-like treat was created in West Virginia by a Fairmont baker in 1927. Backers of the bill said the tasty food is to West Virginia, as bagels are to New York and cheese steaks are to Philadelphia.
The resolution was introduced on the House floor Tuesday.
