Kanawha and Cabell counties are among the unhealthiest counties in West Virginia.
According to the latest health rankings, Kanawha ranks 37th and Cabell ranks 41st out of 55 counties.
Putnam ranked ninth on the list and was the only southern county in the top 10.
Monongalia County was ranked as the healthiest county.
The counties were ranked using health factors, like smoking and obesity, as well as other socio-economic conditions like education, access to health care, and unemployment.
