Gallia County deputies has charged a student in connection with bringing a pellet gun to school.
On Wednesday, a teen from River Valley High School was removed from school after officials said he brought a pellet gun that resembled a hand gun, the Gallia County Sheriff's Department said. Officials will further investigate, and the case will be forwarded to the county prosecutor.
The student was charged with illegal conveyance. It's against the law to bring and/or show an object that is indistinguishable from a firearm, regardless if it is capable of being fired, into a school safety zone.
