With spring just around the corner, it is time to start thinking about baseball. The West Virginia Power has a whole bunch of promotions planned to make sure it gets fans in the stands. The Power has announced its promotional lineup for its ninth season. In the 2013, there will be a special night for every night of the week. Monday will be Family Buck Night with $1 tickets, hot dogs, soda and popcorn; and $2 cheeseburgers. It will be presented by 98.7 The Beat and 58WCHS. Tuesday will be Turn Back the Clock Tuesday with $2 fountain drinks and draft beverages presented by 107.3 KROCK. Wednesday will be Wine Club Wednesday with a $15 ticket special that includes wine and food sampling and prize drawings. There will be one-half price wine for Power Wine Club members. It will be presented by V100. Thursday will be Thirsty Thursday with $1 12-ounce draft beer and $2 16-ounce cans presented by 96.1 The Wolfe. Friday will be Friday Night Fireworks presented by Suddenlink and V100. Saturday will be Flat Screen Saturdays with TV giveaways. Sunday will be Kids 12 and Under Run the Bases Post-Game. In addition, there are a whole series of “Big 12” dates and promotions. Following is a list: * April 4 – Opening Night/Magnet Schedule Giveaway/Fireworks. * April 19 – NBA Night/Jerry West Jersey Giveaway/Laker Girls. Giveaway Flat Screen Saturday. * May 24 – Redneck Night/Appearance by the General Lee/Redneck Giveaway/Redneck Wedding/Fireworks * June 6 – NASCAR Night/Bobby Dale Earnhardt and Truck/NASCAR Simulators. * June 8 – Chuck’s Birthday/Bike Giveaway/Appearances by You Gabba Gabba’sPlex and Patrick from Spongebob Squarepants & Diego from Go Diego Go!/Flat Screen Saturday. * June 20 -- West Virginia Day, 150th Celebration. Post-game fireworks. * July 4 – July 4th Celebration/Fireworks/Post-Game Concert/The Davisson Brothers Band * July 6 – Reality TV Night/Flat Screen Saturday * Aug. 1 – NFL Night/Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Appearance * Aug. 2 – Toastman Bobblehead Giveaway/Fireworks In addition to the “Big 12,” other promotions include Neighborhood Heroes Night (May 17); Bark-in-the-Park (May 28); Team Card Set Giveway (June 21); Fan Appreciation Night (Aug. 16); and Back-to-School Night featuring a Lunch Box Giveaway (Aug. 17). Two save the dates for parents are Little League Night featuring free admission for youth players in uniform (May 25); and Super Hero Night with free admission for kids 12 and under in costume (July 5).
