Two West Virginia men have been charged with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug laboratory, a felony.
William Woodrow Lusher, 39, and William Cody Lusher, 21, both of Harts were arrested about 10 p.m. March 7 after a traffic stop on the River Bend Road area of Ranger, according to criminal complaints filed in Lincoln County Magistrate Court. The criminal complaints said a deputy searched the vehicle and found items used in the making of methamphetamine in the trunk.
Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Rex Clark said he discovered tubes, pills, bags of white powders, Draino and tin foil. He said he found dark residue inside the tubes, and a white residue inside a Mason jar. The contents were found in the trunk.
Two women, who were occupants of the vehicle and present during the time of the arrest, said they saw the Lushers create and consume meth, the complaint said.
The men face two to 10 years in prison, or a $5,000 to $25,000 fine, or both, if convicted.
