An investigation is underway at the West Virginia state capitol into possible threats against lawmakers over pending gun legislation.
Senators have fielded hundreds of phone calls and emails from gun rights supporters, urging them to act on a bill that has already cleared the House. The legislation would repeal gun control ordinances for a handful of cities, including Charleston.
The mayor of Charleston said it would be terrible for his city.
More than a dozen of the calls and emails have apparently crossed the line and are being considered as threats. One warned a senator that he would not make it home from Charleston if the bill did not pass.
