Police have arrested a Parkersburg man who they said robbed a Clark gas station in north Parkersburg on March 6.
Henry Olan Bullough, 35, was taken into custody at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the 2500 block of Ninth Avenue. He has been charged with felony second degree robbery.
Detectives said Bullough entered the gas station, approached the clerk and demanded money.
They said he told the clerk he had a gun and gestured with his hand under his shirt.
Detectives said Bullough removed money from the cash register, attempted to get money from the safe and removed the phone from the clerk’s hand as she tried to call 911.
The arrest was the follow-up of an anonymous tip received by detectives. A warrant was issued for Bullough’s arrest after an investigation and hours of surveillance.
Bullough was taken to police headquarters and placed in the Wood County Holding Center to await arraignment in Wood County Magistrate Court Thursday night.
