Firehouse Subs has donated more than $10,000 to the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department to buy a thermal imaging camera.
The camera will help the firefighters at the Kanawha County volunteer fire department detect body heat and hot spots in burning buildings and will allow firefighters to reach victims in half the time and put out deadly fires.
The money for the camera came from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which was created in 2005.
