Businesses at Pullman Square in Huntington were briefly evacuated Wednesday due to a chemical smell.
Cabell County dispatchers said they got a call from a maintenance worker who was taking out a bucket on a loading dock when there was a strange chemical reaction. The fire chief said the smell came from soaked rags
All Pullman Square businesses were evacuated, and Tenth Street near the area was shut down while
crews investigated what caused the reaction.
People have been allowed to go back into the business.
