A Logan County man is behind bars after an alleged home invasion attempt and standoff with police.
West Virginia State Police say Gregory Alderage tried to force his way into his next door neighbor's home around 3 p.m. Monday. She called the Logan City Police, and when they responded, they say Alderage ran back to his house and barricaded himself inside. He allegedly threatened to kill officers.
Logan City Police called troopers for backup and went into Alderage's home. They say he tried to stab a trooper with a knife.
