Drivers were advised to use alternate routes and to avoid a section of Fifth Avenue in Huntington (U.S. 60 eastbound) that was being closed for sewer repairs.
The state Division of Highways said in a news release that Fifth Avenue (U.S. 60 eastbound) in Huntington would be closed at 31st Street starting at 7 p.m. Monday. This will close the Fifth Avenue Bridge into Guyandotte.
This section of Fifth Avenue will remain closed until repairs are completed. The northbound on-ramp to the 31st Street Bridge will remain open.
