Firefighters, law enforcement and emergency medical services gathered Saturday to learn some new tricks of the trade.
The Seventh Annual Sissonville Fire and Rescue School kicked off at Sissonville High School.
Last year, more than 700 first responders from West Virginia and five other states participated in the courses, and this year they have just as many, if not more, involved.
West Virginia University Fire Service Extension has provided simulators and equipment to help with the training.
Leaders hope the school provides new knowledge and training needed for their jobs.
