A very special bird that resides in the Mountain State has been released back into the wild.
The eagle, nicknamed Golden Boy, was found injured in a coyote trap in Monroe County last November.
After the eagle was nursed back to health, the 2-year-old bird flew to freedom at Grandview State Park. The release took place on Monday.
Golden Boy also was fitted with a tracking device to discover where he makes his new home.
