The Harlem Globetrotters hit the court at the Charleston Civic Center Tuesday night, and a group of Putnam County students were included in their half-time show.
The Lakeside Elementary jump rope team took center court during the half-time and pregame shows. They even got to meet the players before their performance.
The kids are so dedicated to jumping rope, that some spend their whole recess practicing for events like this.
"That's what I want to see as a physical education teacher. Kids wanting to exercise and seeing them challenge each other," Cody Pyle said. "I may show them a video of a new trick. It's good to see them work so hard and be able master that trick and want more."
Lakeside is the only school in Putnam County with a jump rope team.
During the basketball action on the court, Eyewitness News Sports Reporter and Anchor Josh Lewis played for the team that went up against the Globetrotters and showed his skills by sinking a three-point shot.
