A Scioto County, Ohio, man was found guilty in the death of a 10-month-old baby boy.

Brandon Wilson, 23, of Portsmouth was found guilty of murder and endangering children and not guilty of aggravated murder on Tuesday. Wilson was sentenced to 15 years to life for the murder charge and three years for the child endangering charge. Wilson could be eligible for parole after 18 years into his prison sentence.

Wilson testified in his defense on Monday. On Tuesday, closing arguments were presented and the jury deliberated.

In November 2012, investigators were notified of a baby boy that died after suffering injuries including a skull fracture at a Columbus Children's hospital. After being investigated, Wilson was charged.

The trial for a Scioto County, Oh., man charged in the death of a 10 month old baby began Monday in the Scioto County Common Pleas Court.

Brandon Wilson, 23, of Portsmouth was charged with aggravated murder, murder and endangering children.

Investigators believe Wilson was involved in the death of a baby boy in November 2012 that suffered injuries including a skull fracture.

Wilson was listed as the baby's father.

A Scioto County grand jury has charged an Ohio man in connection with the death of a 10-month- old baby.

Brandon Wilson, 23, of Portsmouth was charged Tuesday with aggravated murder, murder and endangering children, according to a news release from Scioto County Prosecutor Mark Kuhn.

The baby died in a children's hospital in Columbus in November. During the investigation, detectives questioned Wilson and later charged him with murder. Wilson is listed as the baby's father on the birth certificate.

A man was charged with the death of his girlfriend's baby after it suffered skull fractures.

Brandon J. Wilson, 23, of Portsmouth, Ohio, was arrested on Monday. The Scioto County Sheriff's Department was notified that a 10-month old baby boy was transported from the Southern Ohio Medical Center to the Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus on Nov. 19 for life-threatening injuries, a news release from the sheriff's department said. The baby later succumbed to his injuries and died the next day.

Detectives said they spoke with medical staff and learned the baby was living with his mother and her boyfriend in Wheelersburg, Ohio. During the investigation, detectives said they questioned Wilson and later charged with murder. Detectives said there also was a 3-year old child in the home.

The sheriff's department said Wilson had signed the birth certificate as the father of the baby, but is not the biological father of the boy. Wilson was scheduled to be in the Portsmouth Municipal Court on Tuesday. More charges could be presented to the Scioto County grand jury.
