The driver of a pickup truck who hit a South Hills home Tuesday morning has been arrested.
Police arrested Clyde Adkins, 70, of Charleston and charged him with driving under the influence.
The accident was reported about 8 a.m. in the 1100 block of Bridge Road, a 911 dispatcher said.
Charleston police told Eyewitness News that the driver of the truck appeared to be under the influence of pills. The truck managed to slip between two steel beams that the homeowner had placed to protect his property. No injuries were reported.
